Leftapalooza and The Mile High Tribute Band Competition Rocks

Event proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the
Left Hand Brewing Foundation

LONGMONT, Colo., June 29, 2018 – For the eighth year running, the Left Hand Brewing Foundation presents Leftapalooza and the Mile High Tribute Band Competition on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Roosevelt Park in Longmont, Colo. Colorado’s raddest music and local craft beer festival showcases Colorado’s best tribute bands battling for top honors while raising funds and support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the Left Hand Brewing Foundation.

Beyond the music and brews, LLS will be present throughout the event raising awareness, and the organization Love, Hope, Strength will be onsite swabbing concert goers for possible donor matches. In fact, Left Hand Brewing Company founder Eric Wallace was a match and able to provide live-saving bone marrow for a recipient.

Music will be in the air all day with the first band kicking off at noon, and last year’s winner “Loving the Alien,” a David Bowie Tribute, concluding the night’s festivities. The full Leftapalooza lineup includes:

1:05pm – Sonic Highways (Foo Fighters Tribute)
2:10pm – Hey Lady (B-52’s Tribute)
3:15pm – Mr. KnowItAll (Primus Tribute)
4:20pm – Firedancer (Dave Matthews Band Tribute)
5:25pm – 4 Degrees (Tool Tribute)
6:30pm – Vanwholen (Van Halen + The Who Tribute)
8:00pm – Loving the Alien (David Bowie Tribute)

Tickets are on sale now, and for just $12 concert goers can enjoy a full day’s worth of great music as these eight bands go head-to-head for the title of Top Mile High Tribute Band, a cash prize and the right to return as the Leftapalooza headliner in 2019. Leftapalooza is a family event and tickets for kids 5-12 are $5 and those younger are free. For the ultimate event experience, VIP tickets are available for $50 and include access to the VIP lounge, premium seating, free VIP-only food and beverages, special beer pairings and private restrooms. Ticket prices will increase the day of the show.

Food and libations will be in full effect along with the music vibes including local food trucks and Longmont’s favorite craft breweries, cideries and distilleries. Drink tokens can be purchased for $6 or four tokens for $20. Cash or credit will be accepted and there will be an ATM on site.
